You know how you work hard something, not because of the money but because of the client — you put in that extra effort to make the results something you’re truly proud of. It’s never easy when something you work hard on gets left in the dustbin, even harder when it’s someone you’re proud to work with. Thus is life as a designer. Also, I will always have a special “thing” for Univers Ultra Condensed.
I like doing pro-bono work, it’s somehow more freeing than for-pay work. Perhaps its the understand agreement between you and the client that there is a gift, a sacrifice if you will, being made. It often allows me to to explore things I’d be too afraid to try on a larger, paying client. This is a concept a church youth ministry t-shirt. That’s it; just a t-shirt. I’ve also really been on a Chalet kick. It’s the new Bauhaus.
